Do you accept returns?

Since The Fat Kid is currently such a small business, I wouldn't have the capacity to accept returns at this time.

 

However, to try and minimise disappointment, each item has measurements in cm under the listing to ensure the item will fit as expected upon arrival. I then calculate a recommended "overall size" which is established using ASOS size charts as well as personal experience as a fat person. You can still use the original sizing as a guide also (this is included in all items which had a size).

 

You can filter on the site by size, all of the items have been entered with the largest size they will fit, make sure to read the full listings as clothes may also fit smaller sizes well and can be bought and worn by several different sizes (see store policies on purchasing a bigger size). If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and we will come to a resolution.

Do you put items on hold for customers?

Yes! If you fall in love with an item but don't have the means to purchase it straight away, I would be happy to reserve it for you. 

How to reserve an item:

1. Contact me either via the chat function or via email.

2. Send me a screenshot of the item in question.

3. I will ask for a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full price. 

4. Once the item is on hold, you will have 10 days to complete the purchase before the item is re-released to be purchased by others. 

Are the prices at your store negotiable?

Despite selling second-hand clothing, this store does not work on negotiations. Keep your eyes peeled over on The Fat Kid's Instagram for sales and discounts!

Does The Fat Kid wash the items?

Unfortunately, as of right now we only ship to the UK whilst we are in the early stages of The Fat Kid.

 

However, if you are someone in another country and you're interested in a specific place, I am open to making that work for you. Send me an email at queries.thefatkid@gmail.com and we can try and figure something out.

 

Worldwide shipping is a goal of ours and if our first launches go well we will have the ability to do so!

Since The Fat Kid holds many items (all which are currently thrifted), there is too much stock for me to personally wash. For this reason, please wash your items before wearing them as previous owners means bacteria! The Fat Kid will not be liable for any illnesses, conditions, etc contracted from any un-washed items as this is your personal responsibility.
